Richard Desmond – $2.5 Billion
The ’70s was when Richard Desmond began making investments in newspapers. He has since become a $2.5 billion-worth mogul, as reported by Forbes! He’s the founder of Northern & Shell, the company behind OK!, Health Lottery, and Express Newspapers.
Desmond has also made lots of cash by buying and selling houses. One good example was when he purchased a place on Dane Court in 2004 for $14 million, then sold it off that same year for $36 million. The former Daily Express and Channel 5 owner made news in 2021 when he sold his shares in Reach, the United Kingdom’s biggest newspaper publisher.
