Airport Chronicles: Incredible Passenger Stories That Defy All Expectations!
Everyone, Bow Down To Piper
Meet Piper, the unsung hero of Cherry Capital Airport in Michigan. With a wagging tail and a nose for duty, this K-9 wildlife control officer took bird-chasing to new heights. Over a span of three years, Piper’s diligent work helped chase away a whopping 8,367 birds, ensuring safe take-offs and landings.
Piper ensured that the airport staff could carry on their daily tasks without worrying about winged interruptions. However, like all great legends, Piper bid farewell to his leash duty in January 2018, after chasing his last bird away. Nevertheless, we offer our salute to our four-legged friend who turned bird-chasing into an aviation safety art form.
