Mexican-American actress, director, and producer Salma Hayek, also known as Valgarma Hayek Jiménez, was not always famous or noticed. This, however, didn’t stop her from becoming one of the first Latinas to establish a successful movie career in the United States back in the 90s.
Hayek dropped out of school to pursue her acting career with her first major role being on the telenovela, ‘Teresa.’ Her debut in the action film ‘Desperado’ in 1995 catapulted Hayek into stardom and to more hit film projects like ‘Frida,’ ‘Ugly Betty,’ and 2021’s ‘The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard.’ Is the star stopping anytime soon? Absolutely not, and we love to see it!
