Such is Julie Goodyear’s Hollywood foothold that if we mention Bet Lynch, one of the characters she played for over two decades, in a room full of soap opera enthusiasts, then most of them would instantly get reminded of ‘Coronation Street.’ That’s just one out of the many feathers on this much-loved actress’ cap, who not just bagged awards, but also earned reams of dedicated followers.
Quite evidently, Goodyear has contributed momentously to the television drama arena. So, as a congratulation, she got appointed an MBE and welcomed a Lifetime Achievement Award, both in the mid-’90s. Later, this stunning entertainer branched into the reality TV world, making appearances under labels like ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ and ‘Celebrity Fit Club.’
