After years working on Fox News as the host of the shows America Live and America’s Newsroom, journalist Megyn Kelly was granted a $23 million-a-year contract with NBC. The network had high hopes for Kelly, who was given a special place in Today with the Megyn Kelly Today segment.
Unfortunately, Megyn Kelly Today was canceled in 2018 and Kelly ended up leaving NBC in 2019. The former corporate defense attorney wasn’t able to reconnect with the American audiences after a series of racially insensitive comments on-air, particularly regarding blackface Halloween costumes.
