Careers in entertainment aren’t known for their stability and longevity. But Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak lucked out when he was hired to present the now-syndicated game show on NBC in the early ‘80s. Almost four decades later, the 74-year-old TV personality and the program are still going strong.
However, Sajak has shared his plans of retiring after going through emergency surgery in 2019. While he’s bounced back since the incident made him realize he’d rather leave his post too early than too late. He estimates that he’ll work for another two or three years before enjoying his retirement.
